Enhanced comfort

The Verso now has even more comfortable seating. The height-adjustable front seats have improved shoulder support and the bases now extend by up to 20mm for tailored comfort, particularly on long journeys. And, for a more commanding view at the wheel, the driver’s seat cushion is now 40mm higher.

Support and cushioning have also been improved for second-row passengers, and a 30mm increase in the seats’ sliding adjustment makes for easier access to the third row. Other measures have also created significantly more rear legroom and headroom for effortless exits from, and access to, the Verso.

Multi-function steering wheel

The sporty, three-spoke leather* steering wheel does more than just control the vehicle’s direction. It’s also your command centre, increasing your driving pleasure and safety. Adjustable in four ways, it provides intuitive control of the audio system while also allowing you to call up data such as mileage and distance travelled.

Electric power steering

Electric power steering is a welcome, if familiar, feature. But this new system takes functionality to a new level, with the inclusion of active steering force compensation. Put simply, if the system detects steering input that’s too high for the required response, it automatically reduces the power steering input to compensate.

The system also cleverly senses and isolates wheel ‘shake’ (for example, when driving over cobbled roads), to keep vibrations from reaching the steering wheel.

Driver-focused design

A great deal of thought has gone into ensuring maximum enjoyment and concentration for the driver of the Verso. This can be seen in the way the speedometer and tachometer, in their stylish individual cylinder housings, are angled towards the driver. They are also slightly offset so that they don’t interfere with the view of the road ahead. In addition, the gear lever is mounted close to the steering wheel on the centre console to enhance the sense of intuitive control. Yet more clarity of focus comes from the crisp and clear Optitron dashboard displays.

Smart Wave Dynamism

The interior of the Verso embodies a design theme called Smart Wave Dynamism. You can see it most clearly in the elegant, wave-like form of the upper instrument panel. This discretely separates the functional driver’s zone and the passengers’ area. It’s clever thinking that promotes comfort and alertness for the driver and a relaxed ambience elsewhere in the cabin.

Automatic air conditioning

Total comfort for all aboard, regardless of temperature fluctuations outside, is provided by dual zone climate control air conditioning*. This uses innovative technology to maintain an optimum, pre-set temperature at all times.

*Standard on all TR and TSpirit grades.

Touch-screen navigation

State-of-the-art satellite navigation is always welcome, particularly when you’re in unfamiliar territory. Just key in your destination on the colour touch-screen and the system will provide audio and visual directions. A 10Gb music hard drive is also featured as standard.

Choose the TR or the T Spirit grade for the option to upgrade this navigation package to include a Rear View Monitor system for effortless parking.

Clever storage

Storage is plentiful and ingenious in the Verso. It’s fitted with a large double-deck glovebox, there’s an overhead console, generously proportioned door pockets, fold-out seatback tables* with cup-holders and a spacious centre console box. There’s also a drawer* beneath the front passenger seat, second-row underfloor storage and driver and passenger pockets for holding mobile phones or music players.
